Carters Lake

Carters Lake Project is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District. Carters Lake is one of the most scenic lakes in the Southeast. Located at the southern end of the Blue Ridge Mountains, its sparkling waters and rugged shoreline provide a beautiful surrounding for a variety of recreational opportunities which includes: camping, picnicking, boating, fishing, and hunting. Directions to Carters Lake

From Atlanta I-575 north to Carters Lake exit. Follow signs to desired project locations.Project Office: From Atlanta I-75 north to exit 126, then right (north) on Hwy 411. Continue north on 411 and turn right on Hwy 136. Continue approximately 2 miles on Hwy 136, then left just after crossing the Talking Rock Creek Bridge. The project office is located 2 miles up the access road. From Chattanooga I-75 south to exit 137 (Rocky Face). Turn left and follow Hwy 52/76 to Chatsworth. Turn right on Hwy 411 in Chatsworth and travel south. Turn left on Hwy 136. Continue approximately 2 miles on Hwy 136, then left just after crossing the Talking Rock Creek Bridge. The project office is located 2 miles up the access road. .
