Kernville is the closest little town with plenty of sight-seeing.
Kernville is about 4 miles from Camp 9. Kernville also has
Laundry facilities, grocery and hardware stores, river rafting trips,
Bike rentals, various restaurants, antique and what-not shops, river
fishing and has several events throughout the year. The fish
hatchery is located just outside of Kernville and is open to the
public. Lake fishing and swimming accessible from the
campground. Camp 9 has a boat ramp and boat-trailer parking
available. Boat ramp access varies with fluctuations in the lakes
water level. We also have a dump station which is $7.00, no
golden access/age passes allowed for dump fee. Dumping is
not included in camping fee. There is also a fish cleaning station
just behind the main restrooms.
