Located in the northern Sierra Nevada Mountains, approximately eight miles
from the town of Graeagle, California. This is a small campground, with
twenty-three sites (some on a first come, first serve basis). Campground
is situated in the scenic Lakes Basin Recreation Area which has over twenty
scenic lakes and over 50 miles of well maintained hiking trails. Popular
activities include hiking, fishing, boating at Gold Lake, and viewing
scenery. Firewood and maps are available for sale at the campground.
Supplies can be purchased in the towns of Graeagle or Blairsden (less than
ten miles away). The nearest telephone is two miles away. Sites 10, 21,
and 22 can only accommodate one vehicle. Additional parking is available,
but remote.
