Description:

This auction is for a used Western Mountaineering Iroquois sleeping bag. This bag was purchased new in 2000 for a little over $200.00. It has seen a lot of use in the High Sierra, about 5 thru-hikes of the John Muir Trail. It is rated at 38 degrees but sleeps a lot warmer. I have slept comfortably in it at 12,000 feet when my water bottles would freeze over in the morning. It uses 750 down and had 5 inches of loft. It weighs in at 1 lb 8 oz.It does need a little TLC though. A seam needs to be re-sewn where the hood joins the main bag (see pics). About 1/2 inch of seam has come undone. There is also some discoloration near the footbox where it came into contact with the wet sides of the tent. It had been washed 3 times in its life, always in a commercial washer using Nik-Wax down soap.It is a regular (6'0") and has the zipper on the RH side. Always stored in the oversized bag which is included. This bag still has a lot of life left in it and this is a great way to experience the quality of a WM bag at a very low price.
