This 8'x10' tent probably dates from the 1960s and was made by the Webb Manufacturing Co.  It is also stenciled "16-513" which may be the model number.  It has the Girl Scout logo on the tent door flap which someone has painted over in black paint in a failed attempt to cover it up.  This tent is 100% complete with the U-shaped metal stakes and the 3 piece end poles which all fit nicely along with the tent into the canvas carrying bag.  The tent canvas is in excellent shape with no mold, tears, rips or holes except for 1 small hole in a corner where a stake was passed through the canvas to secure the corner of the tent because the canvas loop at that location is torn.  This tent sets up easily even without instructions in about 10 minutes time.   In the distant past, before Twitter and YouTube, tents like these are believed by some scholars to be the primary means with which pre-adolesent females would gather to socialize. According to these historians, the main purpose of these mass nocturnal migrations or "Sleep-Overs" was to spread rumours and disseminate juicy gossip about rival tribes or percieved enemies, and to bond with like-minded peers through arcane rituals such as "make-overs" and in  the solemn partaking of the high holy sacrament (Pringles and pilfered Boone's Farm wine) all of which would inevitably become undone with the climaxtical  grande finale - a  vicious no-holds-barred game of "Truth or Dare" . Put this tent up in your backyard and crawl inside, close your eyes as you lay on your back on the lawn and smell the faint yet familiar scents of canvas, grass, wood smoke, s'mores and puppy love!Email me with any questions.
