If you can bear a little cold weather, you could enjoy all kinds of winter sports in our US National Parks. The available activities for winter enjoyment include snow/ice activities (overall), sledding, downhill skiing, ice skating outdoors, snowboarding, cross country skiing, ice fishing, snowshoeing. Some of these activities require more skill than others. But there is usually something to enjoy for everyone at winter park recreational areas. You of course, will want to make sure you dress properly for the occasion and make sure that you are in the right physical condition for these activities. Learn about the new types of fabrics available for keeping you warm and you should research what's involved with staying warm and healthy in a harsh climate. That being said, what a great way to beat the winter duldrums by getting out and using the snow and ice to have some fun.
